Business Memoir, Lawyer and Lobbyist

"The process was surprisingly smooth and rewarding. Now I have this book to leave for my kids, and they'll know their grandfather in some small way and understand how he built this business for them and maybe even for their children and grandchildren."

This business memoir was intended to leave a legacy beyond money for the author's children and grandchildren. How did he build his business? What did it cost him? He had built wealth for future generations, and now they will know where it came from and why it matters.

Self-help and Mental Health Wellness

"Thank you so much for your Editorial Letter. All of your comments were well taken. I have already begun to add more content as well as changes to my manuscript. I am looking forward to it being much improved."

This book on family dynamics, trauma, and abuse was written by the author, but she was having trouble finding a publisher. We worked together to shape the manuscript into a professional work that could find a home with a publisher.

Self-help and wellness

"Your questions and comments have been terrific for me…your letter was brilliant…"

This self-help, dieting and wellness book approaches dieting and health from a philosophical perspective. The author, a professor of philosophy, wrote the first draft, which we edited together for several rounds until we had a flawless manuscript to shop to editors and agents.

Entrepreneur Legacy Memoir

"I love the book so far. You incorporated so much of the original content and made it all work so nicely with the quotes, anecdotes, transitions and more...Appreciate working with you, I’ve learned a lot."

The author set out to capture the history of her father's jewelry business and the values that guided it through decades of growth and change, but was overwhelmed by the task of doing it herself. Through interviews with family members and a complete manuscript redevelopment, we helped create a lasting record of the knowledge, character, and leadership that built the company so future generations would inherit not just a business, but a blueprint for stewarding it.

Art and Philanthropy

"I got. I read it. I love it… THANK YOU!!!!”

The client was a philanthropist, artist, and activist who had a charitable organization that helped the elderly and economically disadvantaged through art. She wanted a short book to present to donors and decision-makers that told her life story and described what she and her organization did and why. We spoke six hours by phone and we wrote the memoir/business hybrid, one of my favorite genres.

HR and People Ops

"…you were able to get into my mind and extract what I wanted to accomplish and articulate it in a well-thought-out, logical plan…I feel so fortunate having the privilege of working with someone with your work ethic and character…."

This book on employer branding and human resources in the new age details the author’s philosophy and his step-by-step method of hiring for the toughest jobs in the toughest climates. He wanted to do all the writing himself, so we talked through each chapter on Zoom, then traded chapters back-and-forth for revision.

Self-help and Personal Growth

" Yesterday was the cumulation of 3 days worth of coaching work all into one day - hectic! But your email was like a happy gift to keep me going through what was a rough day. I’m reading through, loving it...So thrilled to have you on the journey with me."

This joyful book on how little things make big differences is a memoir, self-help, and philosophical guide all rolled into one. The author, a real estate agent and business coach, recently emailed me to let me know she'd just sold her 5,000th copy!
